All ECU meetings will be open to everyone who wants to observe and contribute. The minutes of meetings, decisions, accounts will be published on the official website of ECU, as soon as they are ready. The budgets, all information related with finance will be shared with all members on a monthly basis.
Whilst Mr.Ali Nihat Yazici will be the President of ECU, Turkey will not bid for any European Chess event. Turkish Chess Federation will be only an insurance for any event, in case that there is no bid. If an event is not bid for, then the Turkish Chess Federation will be pleased to organise it, with the conditions as stated in the tournament regulations, always, with the highest possible standards.
We want to bring a new way of granting European events to organisers. Our priority will be to distribute events fairly, by giving due attention, to geographical location, activity and size of federations.
As soon as an event is granted, a contract will be signed and put on the ECU website for all federations to see what are the conditions.
In this way, not only the big federations but also small federations will be motivated to organise events. The bidding procedure will be based with priority to ensure the participation of the maximum number of European federations. The Team of We R Europe will find sponsorships or allocate budgets for small, poor, weak federations to send players or teams to European events.
We believe strongly that being a member of a chess family means that all brothers and sisters share and participate together.
